Steve Jennings

Born and raised in England's gritty Northern city of Hull, Steve is a futurist with a remarkable story. His solutions-driven entrepreneurship journey began during his time as a professional cyclist when he founded Maxim.

The company grew to become Europe’s leading active lifestyle functional nutrition brand – later acquired by the Norwegian consumer goods conglomerate, Orkla Foods. This success brought Steve to the USA, where he was a founding member of PepsiCo’s global Good-for-You nutrition innovation team, with a focus on new platform development and M&A that contributed to 58% annual growth companywide.

He was the co-founder and CEO of GoodCred – a Swedish company developing customer journey engagement and loyalty solutions. In 2014 and 2015, he was also embedded as the ‘entrepreneur in residence’ at Lund University in Sweden.

During his time living on the west coast of Canada, he was the co-founder of IOVIA – a company focused on driving business growth and creating new ways of doing business by unleashing the power of brand participation communities for IKEA, Unilever, LEGO, Nike, Velcro, and ING Bank.

At the moment, Steve is leading the launch of a new healthspan nutrition business which is being incubated in-house right at Vivero.

Steve is a husband, father, brother, mentor, and a lifelong lover of the great outdoors. When he's not working on the next big thing, or helping amazing organizations solve problems, he can be found on his race bike riding the roads of Flanders, where he is at his most creative.

Steve’s North Star

“It always has and will be about discovering what matters, understanding what’s important, and exploring what’s possible.

I’ve never been afraid to provoke and question unhealthy status quo mentalities. They usually lead to confirmation bias, so I put myself in the firing line.

I agitate and deconstruct sacred cow business models with the objective of inspiring people and organizations to shift their mindsets to something that’s bigger, bolder, and more courageous than anything they’ve previously imagined.”
